Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions cover the sale of all our products. Please read through these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing any items. By placing an order with Stencel you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as set out below. If you would like to discuss any of these with us please contact customer services.

Orders: (1) All orders are subject to availability. (2) On the day of placing your order we will immediately provide you with purchase form. (3) Quantity and description of your order will be stated on purchase form. (4) We reserve the right to discontinue products.

Payment: (1) Payment of 30% deposit is required at the time of order. (2) Deposit in non refundable. (3) The remaining 70% of the purchase price will be requested at least a week before any product is delivered. (4) Full payment must be made before any product is delivered. (5) All payments taken by phone are taken in a secure environment. (6) We accept Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro (Debit), Visa, MasterCard.

Furniture/Van delivery items: (1) Delivery time is approximately 4-6 weeks. This is only an approximation and so cannot be guaranteed. Our team member will confirm the actual due in date. (2) To avoid a delivery charge we can arrange for a pick-up from our shop in Hampstead. Collection slots must be pre-arranged. (3) You will only be charged one delivery charge for orders containing multiple items. (4) It is your responsibility to measure both the access and final resting space of your pieces of furniture. Should we deliver an item and find it will not fit due to lack of measuring, we will be obliged to charge a collection fee. (5) Should no one be present to receive the furniture at the pre-arranged time, a relevant delivery fee will be charged, (irrespective of your invoice) for re-delivery. (6) 7days notice is required for cancellation of a pre-arranged delivery. (7) All items must be signed for at the point of delivery. In signing the delivery note, you are acknowledging that the item(s) delivered are in good condition and in no way faulty or damaged. (8) You are responsible for checking that all details and aspects of your order are correct and suitable for your requirements, including measurements, quantities, dimensions, product features, colours and textures. (9) Should an item arrive faulty, we will automatically offer repair or a replacement (depends on condition of an item). (10) We reserve the right to repair an item rather than replacing it.

Cancellations and Amendments: (1) You have the right to cancel your purchase during seven days from placing the order. Should such a situation occur we have the right to keep deposit. If your order has been, or is being, processed and you would like to make a changes to the order please follow our procedure (as detailed below). (2)  We will try to accommodate any changes you wish to make after your order has been placed, but, given that your order will be processed immediately on receipt, we cannot guarantee this. If you do wish to make an amendment to your order, please contact one of our team members. (3) After seven days from placing the order you have no right to cancelation and you are obligated to pay full amount.

Product Descriptions: (1) Every effort is made to ensure that the products we supply correspond as closely as possible to the samples displayed in our stores, shown in our catalogue or online, but due to the handmade nature of many of our products there might be slight variations. No responsibility can be accepted for these variations. These could include, but are not limited to, slight differences in shades of fabric or dimensions of products.

Prices: (1) Prices include VAT and exclude delivery and fitting charges.

Title and Risk: (1) The goods will be at your risk from the time of delivery. (2) Ownership of the goods will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the goods, including delivery charge.

Guarantee: (1) All furniture is guaranteed for one year, on condition that each item is cared for in accordance with our advice. (2) Where appropriate, Stencel will repair the item free of charge during this period, or will replace it if necessary. (3) Extended furniture warrantee provides protection of your furniture for up to five years.

Privacy: (1) Your privacy is important to us so we only use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order.  We do not share this information with any 3rd.

Data Protection: (1) To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 we are required to inform you that we have recorded your name and address on our computer system for the sole purpose of processing your order. Please let us know if you object to us keeping this information by contacting Customer Services and we will unsubscribe you at any time. (2) Your name and address will not be given or sold to any 3rd parties. (3) You have the right to access details of the personal information we are holding and to correct any discrepancies in that information. In accordance with the applicable Data Protection laws, we reserve the right to charge an administrative fee in respect of such requests. Given the nature of the information you are seeking access to, we are entitled to request identification from you before dealing with any requests of this nature. (4) Should you wish to access your personal information, please confirm in writing to us.
